Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how ShiftSniper collects, uses, stores and shares information through shiftsniper.com, the official ShiftSniper browser extension, Telegram alert features, account services, payments and related support. ShiftSniper is an independent monitoring and alert service and is not affiliated with Amazon.
2. Account, alert and website information
When you create or connect a ShiftSniper account, we may process your account ID, email address, selected country, province, region or city, alert filters, alert preferences, subscription status, notification-channel status and paid-feature entitlement. If you connect Telegram, we may process your Telegram user ID, chat ID, username, verification status and alert delivery logs. The website may also process basic usage, analytics, security and technical log data.
3. Browser extension information
After you expressly enable background monitoring, the extension creates a random installation ID and registers the installation with ShiftSniper. We may process the installation ID, extension ID and version, supported capabilities, readiness and connection state, heartbeat times, active-work identifiers, request outcomes, notification delivery acknowledgements, notification read times, connection IP address and operational or error logs. This allows the service to determine whether an installation is active, assign supported monitoring work, deliver browser alerts and diagnose failures.
If you connect an account, the extension receives a scoped device credential and a summary containing your ShiftSniper user ID, email address, number of subscriptions, Telegram readiness and paid-feature entitlement. Installation and account credentials are used only to authenticate the extension to ShiftSniper services.
4. Background hiring requests and website content
The extension may perform server-assigned requests to the supported Amazon hiring domains declared in the extension package. ShiftSniper may receive the requested URL, response URL, response status, response headers, response body, timing, truncation state and error information. Responses may include publicly available job and shift information. The packaged extension restricts these requests to reviewed Amazon hiring domain families and limits the amount of response content returned for one request.
This processing is limited to requests initiated by the extension for ShiftSniper's Amazon warehouse job monitoring purpose. The extension does not read the user's open-tab list or collect their general browsing history.
5. Cookies and authentication
A supported background request may use the browser fetch option credentials: include. When applicable, Chrome may attach cookies for the requested Amazon domain in the same way it handles an authenticated website request. ShiftSniper does not use a cookies permission, does not read raw Amazon cookie values and does not upload raw cookie values to ShiftSniper servers. Amazon receives requests directed to its own hiring domains and applies its own privacy practices.
The extension stores scoped ShiftSniper installation and account connection credentials in Chrome local extension storage. Access to that storage is restricted to trusted extension contexts where supported.
6. Information stored in the browser
The extension may store your consent record, notification and sound settings, random installation ID, scoped credentials, connection and health state, request counters, active or pending monitoring work, pending service messages, unread notifications, read notification history and delivery statistics in chrome.storage.local. Local unread alerts, history and pending-message collections are capped by the packaged extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its Chrome-managed local storage. Disconnecting your ShiftSniper account removes the local account credential but does not automatically delete notification history stored in that installation.
7. Payments
The extension is free to install and includes free functionality. It may display links to purchase optional ShiftSniper subscriptions or faster alert features. Payments are processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. ShiftSniper may process payment email, provider customer ID, checkout or payment session IDs, paid-access status and records needed for billing, refunds, fraud prevention and disputes. ShiftSniper does not store your full card number; the payment provider processes payment-card details under its own privacy policy.
8. How we use information
We use information to operate Amazon hiring monitoring, match openings to alert criteria, connect and secure accounts and extension installations, deliver browser and Telegram notifications, maintain notification history, activate free or paid features, process payments and refunds, provide support, prevent abuse or fraud, measure reliability, troubleshoot failures and improve user-facing ShiftSniper functionality.
9. Browser and Telegram notifications
If browser notifications are enabled, ShiftSniper may send matching job information to the linked extension installation. The extension can display Chrome notifications, play a bundled alert sound and record delivery or read status. You can disable browser notifications or sound in extension settings without disabling server-assigned background monitoring work. If you connect Telegram, you authorize ShiftSniper to send messages to your Telegram chat based on your selected alert preferences. You can stop Telegram alerts through the available account or bot controls or by contacting support.
10. Data sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information or extension data. We may share only the information needed to provide or secure the service with infrastructure, hosting, database, content-delivery, security, analytics and logging providers; Supabase for applicable database and account functions; Stripe or another disclosed payment processor for purchases; and Telegram for messages you request. Amazon hiring domains receive requests directed to them, including any applicable cookies attached by Chrome for that Amazon domain.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets subject to applicable safeguards. We do not transfer extension data for personalized advertising or to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
11. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
ShiftSniper's use and transfer of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use extension data only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed Amazon warehouse job monitoring, account connection, browser notification, notification-history, reliability and security features.
We do not use extension data for personalized advertising and do not permit humans to read sensitive extension data except with the user's specific consent, when necessary for security, when required by law, or after aggregation and anonymization for internal operations.
12. Security
ShiftSniper transmits extension and account data through HTTPS or WSS. We use scoped credentials, access controls and operational safeguards designed to protect stored data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we also limit collection and retain data only for legitimate operational, legal and security needs.
13. Data retention
We retain account, alert, extension, operational and billing information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and reliability, process billing or refunds, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and comply with applicable obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type. Local extension history remains in that Chrome installation until removed by the user, cleared by the extension or removed when the extension is uninstalled.
14. Your choices and deletion requests
You can disconnect an account from the extension, disable browser notifications or sound, mark notifications as read, stop Telegram alerts and uninstall the extension. You may request access, correction or deletion of your ShiftSniper account and associated alert data by contacting support@shiftsniper.com. Some billing, security, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to be retained after a request.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when ShiftSniper features, data practices, service providers or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional in-product disclosure or consent required for a material change in browser-extension data handling.
